Also to be completely correct. Of course the Gt head is alittle different. When we began our new line of skid heads we obviously made changes and improvements.

To make sure information is well understood:

Today's GT heads are a little different than the inventory of the GT heads we still have in inventory (and which we can now get rid of ourselves).

GreatWhiteHunter, Robbie's not perfectly right on GT heads being rebadged Denis heads (sorry Robbie). Basically, Gyro heads were their own design, but with Denis' rotor technology in it. Denis heads are Denis' rotor technology in Denis' own frame design.

However, Robbie's right: no restrictions on these heads. Wheeled skid steers or not, it doesn't matter (and this with Gyro's approval). This to ensure we get rid of them quick.

After these 5 last heads are sold, that's it. No more front-mount heads from us that use that technology in US and Canada (except for our few last bigger heads still unsold).

And lastly, to get the facts straight, Denis first front-mounts (DAF-180) were made before we signed agreement with Gyro-Trac. So the differences between both frame designs dates back before we made heads for Gyro-Trac. We pride ourselves in developing stuff, not copying others' work.

Thanks for the clarification Fedric. Not trying to make trouble just had some questions. I know I talked to both you and Robbie in the past on running one of your heads on a ctl I was planning on buying. And was sure I was told you can't sell me one for a tracked skid. And then this post comes along with how great the head is on a tracked skid. So I was just wondering how it was possible. I'm still looking to purchse a head for a pt-80.

No prob at all. A lot of confusion arose from the fact that we considered a track skid steer and a CTL being two names for the same machine, while Gyro-Trac considered a track skid steer to be only a wheeled skid steer with add-on tracks. And of course, after a customer had bought a head, he could actually do whatever he wanted with his head. Anyway, I can't tell you how I'm thankful everyday to have all this mess behind us now.

So, as of today, for a PT-80, we can sell you one of those "limited-edition" DAF-500 (DC-made 500HF). Feel free to give Robbie or me a call if you'd like to discuss that further.

I'm at the office today (Saturday) until 16h15 or so. Then, off to watch tonight's hockey playoffs (go Habs go! :D).

Will the left over heads carry the same warranty and support of other Cimaf product? I will talk with Robbie for the details. Thanks for clearing up the facts. I can't tell you how impressed I am with the results from your heads.

No Ryan it wasn't me. I've emailed Robbie in the past about a cimaf head. I was planning on buying an rc-100 and head but got scared off by the economy and poor performance long term with the 100's. It seems that asv has improved there pt series so it should be a good fit. I don't plan on mulching as my mainstay so I was planning on running a cheaper head. But the long term quality of the head is an issue so will see if I can handle the quote Robbie's sending.
