Now, the second issue

I need to find a open-end crowsfoot wrench to fit the support bushing or whatever the **** it is called.

Nobody in town has one that is 1-9/16". I have called all over the place and not even the mechanics at the dealer have one.?????

I have been open-minded and patient so far...... The patience is getting thin boys!!!! I need her to run soon!

Sorry for the **** here and the ***** there. I know it shows up as ***** so, just trying to be funny and put ****! What else can I do at this point?

Mega_Me,

First off we are really enjoying your post. On the tool measure the distance of the diameter of the round part
of the sleeve.

Take a socket that you can ground off the teeth where the
round part is and leave teeth to grab the flat part on the
edges. I hope I explained this good enough.

I started to offer and open-ended crow's foot but I took a double take at the size.....

You have plenty of room....what about cutting a wrench off and welding a socket to the stubb......then you have something to stick your ratchet and extension in......making your own crow's foot....

wouldn't take a few minutes......might work, might not....

what about buying a socket, cutting it in two and welding a pc of long pipe inbetween the two cut halves to create a really deep, deep well (i'll have to go back and look at your photos again)

edit: i see my second idea wouldn't come close....

Hmmm...$35 for the seals U need? Ok, I'll sell them to U for $34.95 plus shipping, handling, overhead...LOL

Tell U what Joe...life is good, in fact it couldn't get any better than it is right now. I'll give them to U. There's 2 seals U need, and I have them both. When I repaired mine, my dealer gave me the seal kit. And as luck would have it...there are 4 sets of that exact seal. Probably the same seal fits the other shafts? I only used one set and have 3 left...so giving U one set still leaves me 2 more. PM me your address and I'll mail them to U. I cant imagine the shipping to cost much for these small seals, so I'll probably take care of that too. Consider it a gesture of...'pay it foreward'...and a token of appreciation to TBN as well.

As for the crows foot...my dealer loaned me one from one of his techs. It was a snap on tool and in my one time experience removing that hub, U need something pretty beefy to loosen it. Sucker was seriously tight!!! I used a 1/2" dr. snap on ratchet and it popped the gear head when it broke loose. I'll post a pic so U can get an idea of how thick the crows foot is. The pic is kinda fuzzy but U can see it next to the SS drain pan.

Can U locate a snap on dealer near U and try to get it from him? I can get U the crows foot from my dealer, but it might take a few days or more to order it if he doesn't stock it. Let me know if I can help

btw...keep your chin up and don't let the delay get to U. I waited about 3 weeks just to get the seal kit, never mind all the other hoops I had to go through to get mine repaired.

good luck and just an FYI...since U got this far without any assistance needed...I'm certain U can replace the seals yourself. There a piece of cake to replace...the hardest part was getting the hub unscrewed.

Oh yeah,

There is a snap-on man I can get in touch with. Or, I'll check Harbor Freight, Cummins Tools. Or, buy a cheap wrench and make one!

I looked for a 1 9/16 crows foot Snap on and Mcmaster not available.
I would guess it's a special or 1 5/8 the 1 5/8 is $50-$65 steep for a one time use. Sounds like make or borrow. Maybe the rental places have one.

don't know how long it would take to get it.....but stanley makes one...

may source it from somewhere else......i'm guessing close to 100 big ones from mac or snapon...

i keep trying to think of any plumbing tools...

what about this....a fan clutch wrench....autozone has the borrow a tool and bring it back....
