Anyone doing this: Unable to sync OneDrive to an SD card or external USB drive - Office Support

Unlink this PC option is under Account when you right click the cloud and click Settings.

Key seems to reformat a flash/sd card to NTSC(or whatever the web site says). You have to stop synching with Office apparently to do this.

Gonna buy a couple new flash drives and try this.

No bites, and I recently somehow disappeared my Documents folder on the flash drive. So, not gonna do this. Afraid if they're synched, it'll disappear on both the cloud and the flash.

Made up the Documents files from the cloud, but found some that weren't there in one folder.

Think I may have accidently hidden the Docs files but could not find how to unhide them if I did. Storage space used is big enough where I think the old Docs is still there.

Can't help you but this is exactly why I turn the cloud off on all my computers and take care of the backups myself. Storage is so cheap now I don't see why anyone gets involved with the cloud unless you are using multiple locations that can't be directly accessed.

Customers of mine are getting rid of servers and going with cloud based hosting.

I don't get it. People seem to have so much faith! Of course, they are just employees making these decisions.

Having said that. I did put a ton of pictures (dirty ones) on a flash drive that simply quit. Had one picture on it, the last one saved, and that was it. On account of the contents, I don't exactly want to take it somewhere! lol

Our Win10 computers use the cloud as Documents/Pictures file storage. No C drive storage. Really nice and automatic with our fast internet service (Comcast/Xfinity).

Have my Outlook calendar fixed for me to do weekly backups of my wife's folders that she has changed. On mine, I backup right after some work to the flash.

Ralphva- seems like you spend quite a bit of time conducting these backups.

Have you ever looked into a cloud based backup service like Backblaze? I use one, it’s cheap and worked flawlessly when I turned on my pc and noticed my secondary drive was gone/fried.

I have OneDrive. Just doing an old fashioned secondary backup.

Got a calendar notice to backup to the flash drive in a fireproof box in a fireproof basement of the carriage house.
