System Hydraulic Pressure Test

I got my hydraulic pressure gauge from Surplus Supply, now just need to try it out. I'm guessing I'll just plug it into one of my rear remotes, and open the control lever, and I should see the system pressure??
Factory pressure is supposed to be 2242 psi. If it isn't, I'll have to try and figure out how to adjust it. Maybe someone who has adjusted their LS will chime in on how to do this.

You should know the tractor relief pressure, and then plug the gage into any valve work ports QD's, and hold the lever at max, you will see the relief pressure.

The first valve in the hyd system should be the master relief, and all the other relies set the same.

I checked my system pressure today, and got a reading of about 2250 psi @ pto speed. According to the manual it should be 2422 psi. I'm about 175 psi low. Should I increase it, or let it be?

7,069 lbs at 2250 psi.

It is up to you if you want to bring it back up to specs.

Here's what I think is the relief valve, however, I'm not certain, nor do I know how to adjust it.

Yep, that is the valve relief valve.

If it is the adjustable kind, you connect a hyd gage in the system and run the tractor about mid rpm range, and adjust the pressure according to factory specs or whatever you need. Turn in to increase pressure.

If the relief valve has shims, you turn tractor off and remove the relief cap and parts and add the correct shims for the pressure you need. The shims come in different sizes . You might get 2 to 3 shims in a kit, so choose which one you need or use all if necessary.
