In the coming year, or so, I am planning on upgrading from my BX to a much bigger machine.
I haven't been to any dealers (other than my local Kubota dealer network to get parts, where I occasionally sight see, but ask no questions).
I am very pleased with my current Kubota, and Kubota's parts and service... mostly their parts catalogue. I love sitting back and going through the catalogue on replacement parts. Very well organized.
However, I noticed that a local dealer is selling TYM tractors. The price point for power is pretty substantial. Comparing a T394 ROPS with a L3901 ROPS, with a 3 speed HST and loader is about a $10k difference.
One thing I noticed on TYM's website, is the lack of information about their machines after purchasing them. Especially an online interactive parts catalogue that you don't need to be a dealer to access to get part numbers.
I suppose I have a few questions...
1. Why is TYM so much cheaper than Kubota (and even other manufacturers)?
2. Is TYM a reputable company?
3. Does their dealer network offer competitive part pricing? Any online parts dealers?
4. Does TYM have an actual online parts catalogue system? (Big deal to me!)
5. Other than money, what incentive is there for me to buy a TYM compared to a more known brand such as Kubota, NH, etc?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
