- New Holland T4.75
Hi;
My 2017 New Holland T4.75 with ~ 1000hrs on it has decided to fail the DPF Cycle, It tried a few times in Auto, Failed, then I started to get the warning messages. So I used the manual and went through a manual regen process (it failed), I tried a second time, and foolishly touched the throttle so the manual regen process failed. Now the software has blocked my ability to initiate a 3rd manual regen. The menu is no longer available from the tractor menus.
The tractor now is showing the RED STOP error messages for the DPF system.
Q1: Is there a way to reset the system to try again? Like disconnecting the battery or does the system have Non volatile memory that will just remember that its in error? Or is there a hard reset button like on a router?
Q2: It wouldn't bee all that hard to remove the DPF and clean it on my own. I would be careful not to damage sensors, or screens, has anyone been successful at this?
Q3: Is there a way to bypass all this nonsense - like are the sensors switch based / contacts so I could just "Trick them" to thinking the DPF is always clean or is it a 4-20ma (or 0-10VDC) signal that I wouldn't be able to trick.
I'm not keen on having to going to the dealership but I think I may be forced to if it's a software thing, because I don't think I can buy a diagnostic tool for the tractor.
Any guidance appreciated.
Cheers
Kevin
