Before I joined TBN, back in December, I lived a life of blissful ignorance. I was happy with the "man toys" stowed in and around my barn/shop.
Since joining TBN, I have returned my DR Power 3PT Chipper for a full refund, used that money to buy a Jinma 6" chipper got back over $100 in change), bought a Markham toothbar for the "Critter" (my tractor) and have taken the great ideas of the other forum members to build a few of handy "add-ons" for my toys.
In addition, I am looking into adding to my "man toy" collection a "rock bucket" or "stone fork", depending on the manufacturer.
Stop it, guys! You are killing me and, I'm lovin' it!
Now I am informed, in ways never before imagined about the joys of acquiring even more "man toys" and ways of making them even better than intended by their designers.
God bless the USA and TBN!:D

I have TRACTORITUS also. Thursday evening I had a new JOHN DEERE 3320 with these implements listed delivered to go along with the 5203 and implements listed in my signature line!

I will try to post pics later today in the JD forum.

TBN, a place for all of us people infected with Tractoritus to hang out. Two things about Tractoritus, it is incurable,:) and you actually seem to want to get worse. A few people here that are infected, seem to be able to hold their own against the disease,:( but it appears to me that most of us are on a gradual decline into oblivion. We simply cannot control ourselves, and the disease is only slowed by the size of our wallet.:D

Good luck to all Tractoritus infecties.;)

It only gets worse, I mean better!! hahaha

The thing that always worries me is that I don't know enough to even ask the right questions. The more I'm here, the more I learn, but there is still so much I don't know. It's a vicious cycle.

There is a name for this: Tractor Accessory Aquisition Syndrome or TAAS. It is a lifelong illness and immediately follows the brief but equally as serious, Tractor Aquisition Syndrome or TAS. In some bad cases of TAS, the aquisition of a single tractor does no alleviate the symptoms of TAS and gradually develops into MTAS or Multiple Tractor Aquisition Syndrome, which can also be called CTAS or Chronic Tractor Aquisition Syndrome.

Of all of these, TAAS seems to be the worst. Most initial tractor aquisitions are made on sound, rational needs and are often agreed upon by the victim's spouse. TAAS on the other hand becomes irrational and often results in marital discord, domestic strife and financial ruin.

There is no cure and Group Therapy often leads to worsening of symptoms as recently demosntrated by the poor devil who has been spending too much time in the Attachments Forum and finally broke down and bought himself a new snow blower for his long driveway....in south Florida. Very, very sad.

If you would like to make a donation to NSPTTAAS (National Society for the Prevention and Treatment of Tractor Accessory Aquisition Syndrome, please send cash, checks and money orders to me. I will make sure these funds end up at my local tractor dealership....I mean, in the proper hands. (They say the first step is admitting you are sick).

TAAS is a serious condition and left unchecked will lead to a complication known as LOFTS-TAAS.

The only way to beat this type of addiction is to...............dang,I don't have the answer either. ;)

I too suffer from an advanced stage of LOFTS-TAAS. The etiology is known. It appears to be gender specific to the Y chromosome, but there are a few established cases of X-X infection. Prognosis is poor. Unfortunately there have been few if any longterm studies of this illness and no known effective psychotropic or neuroleptic medication regimen . Electroconvulsive Therapy stimulates this syndrome. There is evidence that lobectomy procedures  although highly invasive leads to a cessation of the overt symptomology . Jay

All that ever did for me was make me buy some new insulated wire cutters with no holes in the plastic coating.

Not true. Appleton Jamaican rum is widely known to be an effective, widely available low cost OTC medication regimen which provides relief for TAAS patients. When using the rum as directed, implements are purchsed on a more steady pattern. One per every two month period. Anxiety is reduced and mild euphoria follows every purchase.
