tc 33 head gasket replacement

What the **** is the secret for working with the hood brace getting the rocker arm support. I got it off but pryed a lot on it. The head is loose in the front but feels connected by this brace? The manuel does not cover this at all.

So who ever wrote the Manuel forgot to mention that the gas tank must be removed to access the 4 bolts on that bracket that are attached to the head and the block.
