Tecumseh h70 hard start weak spark

Hi all
I've got a wheel horse workhorse 700

I've got the mowing deck and snowblower

she's got very weak spark and is terrible hard to start

I've pulled the flywheel and replaced points and condensor and timed the motor

still weak spark any advice is appreciated

I can replace the coil next

looking for Any ideas and advice

the motor has a one inch crank

seems as thought the coil assembly I'd scrubbing the inside of the flywheel and not sure if this is a big issue?

Replacing the motor is tough as it has the one inch crank electric start And stator

any advice is appr

the coil should not be touching the fly wheel. Normally around .010 clearance between the fly wheel and the coil. Is this one of the models where the coil is inside the flywheel and adjusting them is next to impossible?

Stupid question but.... have you tried a different spark plug. I have seen them go bad and cause the weak spark you are describing.

It's possible that the coil is bad, but I'd go with your first choice: points.

After installing and gapping the points did you carefully clean the point contacts with contact cleaner and a clean piece of paper? Then did you run a piece of dry paper through the points? (use lint-free paper) Are the points set to .020 ? Carefully inspect the wiring, it's pretty common to find a wire rubbing against metal. Try disconnecting the kill wire. After checking these things you should be able to replace the flywheel, remove the spark plug, and see a spark when you manually spin the flywheel.
