Kubota MX5100
Long time reader of threads, and am finally in the position where I need to ask my own question. Bear with me, I'm a newbie.

Just changed implements for the first time on my Kubota MX5100. Bought the machine used with a brush cutter attached ... today was the first attempt at switching to my box blade. Followed the Kubota Manual directions with ease, except that the right telescopic lower link will NOT secure/lock into place. I backed the tractor up slightly after attaching the BB, but it would not secure. I removed the BB, lubed up the lower link really well, reattached & still no luck. I tried to "encourage" it with a couple raps of the hammer but that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas, or do I need to disassemble & take that link down to parade rest for inspection?

Mine had some debris in there behind things. I took the compressed air to it and after moving it back out and in and blowing the debris out, I finally got it clean and it moves freely now.

Thanks very much hawkeye08. I ended up persevering yesterday, taking the telescoping link completely off & cleaning up the sleeve which the link rides in. Seems that will be a new addition to my preventative maintenance list.
