Yesterday afternoon two nice young men from Houston came up to visit. They are interested in working in Haiti and using Ubuntublox.

Immediately after getting out of the truck the younger one asked me, "are we still in Texas? I'm cold here."

It was 95 when they left Houston and it was in the seventies in Farmersville. Only a couple of hundred feet elevation difference and over twenty degrees temperature difference, in July and a couple of days earlier we were just over a hundred.

They shivered the whole time they were there, about four hours. And I bet they had the a/c off when the left.

It's been in the 60's here the last couple of mornings; never have I seen weather this cool this time of year. Last time I wore a jacket in July, was 1968 and we were trout fishing in the mountains in Durango Colorado.

Just went to the store and I too was cold....I should not have worn a short sleeve shirt...in the low 70's..cloudy and steady rain...no humidity since the cold front came through...I don't like the cold either...

A daughter is having a garage sale yesterday and today. She and my wife were wearing jackets, while I thought the outside weather was beautiful the last couple of days, and I sure didn't need a jacket.

The DFW has broken at least two records, I know the daytime high of 79* broke the 1898 record. Yesterday am, it was 61 or 62, they said that was a record, but didnt catch the "since when" part.
I could do this weather year round

Since they started keeping records, I think.

Northwest Tennessee has been in the 60's for lows and mid-high 70's for highs last few days.

Guess it must be a Southern Boy thing, yesterday I spent the day in the woods/creek working on my bridge to culvert project (seen in rural living post 3.5" rain in an hour.) I had on old worn thru tennis shoes and shorts, no shirt just some bug screen :D... Was still thinking Man life can't get much better, even the Skeeters stayed at bay (deer fly's were about but liveable.) Got wet 5 or 6 times from ground water seeping up thru the rocks washed the hands in it regularly too. When I headed home I think the temp on the car was 68F so was perfect all day. Rained most of the night & was standing out in it with dog this AM still thinking best July weather in LONG TIME. :D
