Here is my 3 point stump grinder I just built. I bought the gearbox, hydraulic rams and PTO shaft from Woods. The rest I made using my 2x4 Torchmate Plasma table, Bridgeport Mill, Sheldon Lathe and lots of welding wire.

I'll be glad to answer any and all questions instead of trying to list every detail in the initial post.

Well, get ready for the questions. First I want to say, "Awesome". More pictures please.

What did you use for a gear box? Is it one to one ratio? How about the wheel? make your own or buy it? If you made it I would be very interested in some picture and explanation as to the wheel and gear box hook up?
How much where the teeth and where did you get them?

Thanks for the replies.

The gearbox is a Woods with 1:1.92 ratio which basically doubles the RPM from the PTO. I run it at 2000 tractor RPMs which seems to run pretty smooth at the grinder.

The wheel I did myself. I bought a piece of 3/4" thick by 21" diameter plate and bored a hole in the center to accept a 12 spline hub to match the shaft on the gearbox. Here are some pictures of the wheel on the Bridgeport as I was trueing and drilling the holes for the teeth holders.

The teeth are from a company called Greenteeth. I chose them cause they are indexed so you can get three cutting sides per sharpening. I think I paid $375 for the teeth and holders. I ordered them from Lewandowski Equipment Company.

Here are a couple of videos from yesterday on its maiden grinding. The tractor is a Kubota L3240.

I haven't calculated the hours it took me but I would guess at least 40.
