I found Jerry Jeff Walker in the 80s. Those were lean years when I was cowboying, living with a dog, and a few horses, eating beans & noodles. I felt like Jerry Jeff was singing about my life. What a great artist. What a great loss. Chris LeDoux too

Being from the Austin area, had the chance to see Jerry Jeff many times. He even played at my old course for the Wild Basin benefits.

Last time was at my old Alma mater Texas State University, when he donated some of his papers to the Music History department right before he passed away.

Still like to play Mr. Bogangles once in a while.
