they sell skid steer spacers for 6 lug patterns as well. they would work fine for the front if someone wanted them.

Personally, wouldn't do it if i have a loader, too much axle stress. Just flip the rims to the widest position.

I did the caliper measurements like you and Jim Gerkin and concluded the 9/16" is the closest fit to the JD studs so I ordered the red spacers made for 9/16" bolts. Mine should be delivered in the next day or two.

Received a set of spacers (4 total) a few days ago from skidsteersolutions.com and installed them today. I put two spacers on the 3720 and two on the 4320 both of which have rimguard for ballast. My wife helped hold/balance the wheels while I bolted on the spacers. All in all it took about an hour for the 3720 and about 1.5 hrs for the 4320 -- zero issues. So the 3720 went from 55" to 59" width and the 4320 went from 71" to 75" width (outside of tread to outside of tread).
Since I use the 4320 on the steepest of all hills, I'm thinking about putting another set, one 2" spacer each side, on the 4320 to give a total increase of 8" in width or 79" overall -- like jimgerken did on his 3720.

Sunny: be sure to let us know your impressions. I am so used to mine now, I take the stability for granted. I am sure if I had to take them off now I'd really miss them.
Spent a few hours in the atv trails in the woods. There are some incredible hills the trails run along on sidehill fashion. Sort of scary. The tractor width increase was very comforting as I landscape raked the trails. I had not run this tractor in the trails before, I had previously done the grooming with a much smaller jd 2520.

I did some measurements last weekend and now with four spacers in place I have an inside tire to inside tire distance of about 38 inches. This is really going to help with corn planting row spacing compared to what it was before widening. I am trying to get about a 30 inch spacing, and so the extra 8 inches makes this possible. So, there's another benefit.

I recently mowed the very steep back yard/hill and the 3720 with 72" 7 Iron deck and what a huge difference --- pucker factor near zero.
I haven't yet done the real test on the 4320 -- hopefully later this week. If high pucker factor, then I'll install another set of 2" spacers. Over the learning curve so should only take about half the time.

Recently I flipped the front tires inside out to see how much inside width I would get from that. Surprisingly, the inside to inside dimension went from 37 inches to 43.5 inches. Outside to outside went from 53.5 to 60 inches. I was more interested in the inside dimension because I wanted more clearance to the corn rows. I am going to plant 30 inch rows, so the extra space is nice to have. I realize that the extra width up front does not add to stability, but when driving it down the gravel road at speed, I noticed the tractor reacted to the bumps much less. Don't know why.

Thats because when your wheels are out wider, if a wheel goes up a bump four inches, the center of the axle lets say goes 2"up. When the wheels are closer it might go up say 3".

I'm sure we could figure out the exact amounts but that was just for reference.

and with the wheels wider it will help stability, but only after a rear has already lifted, if a back wheel comes up and tractor tries to go over, the front might just save you. ( don't ask how i know this, and it's happened more than once)!

Thanks to jimgerken in another thread, am looking into the 6 bolt spacers for my JD4300. Anyone with experience on their fit for the 4300?
I'd appreciate knowing. Likely will initially just use one spacer per wheel, if they will fit up as well as jimgerken found with his tractor.
I see they are on eBay for $300 a set, shipping included.

Just a quick thanks from the sunny Adelaide Hills for this thread.

As a direct result, my new tractor underwent a transformation today. I don't think it's an overstatement to say that the stability has probably improved immensely. My peace of mind certainly has.

The only downside is that I had to amputate the back RHS anti-scalp wheel on the self-connect MMM. Not sure how vital this is, but it will be welded back later in a slightly altered position.

I know the altered perspective looks like it was designed to emphasize the changes, but it that wasn't my plan - just happened to be the way I took the pics - might have been some subliminal psychology.

Anyway, I'm rapt that I will feel so much safer, having read lots about the "tippyness" of the 3000 series AFTER I signed the contract to upgrade from my previous 2320.
