No offense intended here. You are the guy I hate to be behind in the checkout counter at the local Tractor Supply Store. He doesn't even start writing the check until he has the total. Then everyone has to stand there and wait while he does it.......

Write lots of checks to pay bills. No debit, lots of credit.
Pay tv bill by check just to remind myself how expensive it is.

Another good point... actually writing the check is how I keep a handle on expenses/expenditures

You probably are one of the last ones to pay by check. Even the federal government won't pay by check anymore. Paying by check cost a lot more than doing it electronically.

I realize "Free" checking isn't free if you still have the cost of postage.
My tax refund, if I get one, still come by check.
Many young people I know have never written a check... I opened my checking account when I was 14 and used my paycheck to open it.

Not as long as I am on two feet he can't be the last. We still pay by check. As soon as the bill gets here, it is paid the next day. Same as eBay, as soon as I win, I pay by paypal the very same or next day.

We still pay a couple bills by check. So, maybe 24 checks per year.
