Thermostat ? for 530 ck AND model 32 hoe question also fuel tank question

Hola-I'm looking for a temp sending unit for my tractor. I'm not in restore mode yet until I get the time/space. Can I simply buy any aftermarket sending unit? What are my options? I'd just like to know i'm not overheating this beast.

Also, I'm missing pins/bushings for the hoe...I'm searching but having a hard time locating them. Anyone know where to start?

And...lol...Do I have to remove the loader pin above the fuel tank to remove the fuel tank? or can it be slipped out the front by disconecting the dash? (the tank is leaking through drain cup and needs repair)

A sending unit from a Case Construction dealer runs $45, and change. I don't see why a generic one wouldn't work, as long as the thread size is the same, and connection is the same.

Bushings still seem to be available, but not so much the pins. You may need to have it/those made. awesome..thx for that link..i'll be using that for sure. I'm looking at service manuals for this. They run almost 200.00 bucks. Will these tell me how to remove/install tank?

You need to match the resistance values on the sending unit to yours for the gauge to read correctly.

Apparently I didn't yet have enough coffee the other morning, when I replied. Not sure why I was thinking 580.

ty. Lots of good info in that. That was actually confusing me the other day. I saw service manual and thought, if thats all thats in em, I'm not buying one..lol. It seems theres much more info in the full sets. Definately a great place to get started.
