All depends on the price i guess.
But yea usually auctions have no guarantees. You buy it....Its yours.
Keep in mine that auction has a 12% buyers premium too plus the standard 6% sales tax. Another 18% on top of your bidding price..keep your calculator handy..😉

There is a youtube video a few years back about a guy that bought a tractor at an auction and found out it was stolen. Took him a long time to get the auction place to own up to their mistake.

Here in PA where I live, I never had much luck with ag auctions. In addition to the questionable condition of the item up for bid, many use shill bidders to ensure nothing is sold at a loss. This practice is very easy to do online.

More times than not, the winning bid is equal to, or higher than a private sale with far less recourse should something go wrong with the equipment.

I've seen some stuff at auction go pretty cheap, but pretty much never a steal. Other times, people get excited in Winning, and bid it up to the point that with tax and auction fees (does this one have a 3% card fee), that they end up overpaying. With many auctions, the machine had been sitting for 30-90 days on the yard, and I would want to figure a full fluid change, battery, ect at a minimum; so probably atleast a $500 discount, plus auction fees/sales tax, ect.

If it still has warranty, keep in mind that some manufacturers will deny any warranty claims if the piece of equipment was sold on an auction. You may want to read the warranty details for Mahindra.

You may want to do a little research on this before giving up on bidding on a tractor from an auction, it has always been my understanding that a tractor warranty follows the tractor and it starts when the original purchaser buys the tractor and would follow the tractor until it has either reached the number of years or hours that are implied in the warranty, whichever comes first. As always consult the manufacturer of the piece of equipment that you are bidding on for answers about these things.
