I need to ask your help on a TICS (Toolcat Interlock Control System) related problem, characterized by abrupt stopping and inability to start or move/drive the machine.

I had this issue several years ago and it went away on its own. Two days ago I had the issue again twice while mowing a field. I was able to wiggle the armrest to get the machine working again. Yesterday, it happened again while maintaining a road and if I can get it started, I still can't get it to move/drive.

I bought a new armrest sensor and installed it today, but that didn't work. I took the sensor and magnet off the armrest to see if the armrest mounting had anything to do with it, but that doesn't work.

The error code is 64-06 (Switched Power Relay short to ground). The control panel lights involved are the Parking Brake Engaged, the Lift Arm Deactivated, and the Return to Park Reminder light. Today, when I took the sensor and magnet off I thought I had located the problem. I could move the two parts close then away from each other and get the Parking Light and Lift Arm lights to come on and off. The Return to Park light also stayed off and I was able to start it. However it still wouldn't drive forward or reverse. After repeated attempts it returned to acting like it did yesterday, Lift Arm light on (Parking Light now off for some reason), Return to Park light on, moving the sensor magnet didn't trigger the Lift Light on and off, and it wouldn't start or if it did it wouldn't move/drive.

btw, what does the "switched power relay" (located in the cab harness fuse box) do?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

ps: the machine is a 2008 5600 D.

The TICS is a safety system which prevents the lift arm from moving and the machine from starting unless the driver armrest is down.

Just as a note....my G series can be started regardless where the arm rest is positioned. It just won't move until the AR is down though. I wonder what was changed?

The switched power relay connects all circuits to battery power that operate only with ignition in Run position. This includes TICS system and Fuel Solenoid. Troubleshoot the switched power relay fault.

As part of diagnosing this problem I have to remove the cab fuse block- anyone know how to do that?

Do you have to just remove the cover to get access to the fuses and relays? On the G, the cab fuse panel is near your left foot and the frame fuse panel is behind your right foot heel below the seat. The switched power relay is in the cab panel.

Yes, but I need to replace the whole fuse block, not just the fuses. They designed the block mount so that you have to push it into the frame to take it out. With the cab fuse box the only access point is the plate on the console with the ac switches. When you take the plate off the space is filled with hydraulic hoses and wiring.
