I just noticed that Thomas is another star member like JM3. I sure hate to have people like that not with us any longer.

Unfortunately, with the removal of the email addresses from our profiles to prevent harvesting, we have no way to contact these people except for a PM, which is useless if they're not coming to the forum any longer.

I thought Thomas had mentioned being scarce for a while? I know he had been building a chopper, but I think he finished it(picture in his profile?). I seem to remember him being tied up with other stuff, but I can not remember what.

Maybe PM him. Maybe he checks in for a spot check now and then but is too busy to post? Otherwise maybe someone has the email address tucked away somewhere...

I'm back. Perhaps a little less of me, but at least I'm here. Last week I passed out and fell, got dizzy and fatigued, and detected an irregular heartbeat. After a week in the hospital, several EKGs, an echo sounding of my heart, an angiogram, an EP study, and the installation of a defibrillator, I just got home about an hour ago. I have total blockage of two arteries, partial of another, and about 25% heart function. They say that angioplasty is out, that a bypass would be risky, and open heart surgery not indicated in my case. Apparently I have had several heart attacks which I did not notice. My 64th birthday is in another week.

I'm not sure yet how much this will restrict me, but It will undoubtably make me reconsider some of my plans regarding building my own house, barn, etc. The doctor says I should be able to use the tractor, and I've already told my wife that I will be needing more implements and tools to do the work I can no longer do myself. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So, thanks for thinking of me, and I'll update as I find out my limitations and options. I'm feeling pretty good, especially when I consider the alternative.

Glad to hear that you get through it fairly well. Will keep a special thought for you as you deal with the "changes" that sound like are coming your way.

 Did the wife buy off on the idea that you need more implements to help you out? That was really quick thinking. 

I don't know how that will work out. She's still trying to limit how many Diet Pepsis I can drink (I will cut back, but she's being ridiculous - no one can survive on one 12 oz. can a day!); she's going to be milking this thing to get the things she wants, too!

Sorry to hear of your health issues. I got my tractor after a few heart attacks. I can now have any implement/tool that saves me manual labor and stress. The wife may cringe when I bring it up, and she may ask me to wait a bit, but I get it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
