Has anyone tinted the cab windows. I bought a new TYM 451 and I am going to be using is pretty heavy in commercial mowing, and I was thinking about tinting the windows of course with good metal tint, but it was 98 today and the best the A/C could muster was 74, and I thought tint might help?
I have never tinted a cabbed tractor?
Anyone?

I have toyed with the idea also. I think it could have substantial benefit. Let me know how it works for you! Downside may be visibility when dark but I rarely use mine at night.

Some things to consider, if your windows are not real glass, I mean like plexi-glass,,DON'T
and if your windows are double curved, you will have seam in your vision and the difference will be small but noticeable and like redman says, at night you ain't gonna see very well at all
It's easy to do, it's hard to get rid of lint/dust that will leave small bubbles

Even at dawn or dusk, it's going to be more difficult to see with tinted windows. I'd guess you're more likely to miss mowing spots (which would require more work, or you'd have an unhappy customer).

I'd suggest you stick with wrap-around sunglasses and forget the tint for at least one full season. Then you can make a better decision.

The only advantage of tinting would be reducing the load on the AC, but the disadvantages may outweigh that.
