My 2 450's. Wish I could hunt with a real caliber but it is what it is. I go 20 miles north of our property and I could use my 30-06 or 300 winmag. Not safe were I'm at but safe just north. Stupidest damn law....
Have you considered some of the souped up muzzle loaders? The ranges they are harvesting animals with them is quite impressive.

I finally got a muzzle loader this past fall. Avoided it for years. FLa only has like a 7 day muzzleloader season, but a WMA I hunted was primitive weapons only (vertical bows and muzzleloaders only). Didn't get anything with it, but actually really liked the CVA Wolf V2. Shoots great.

You don't appreciate how short/light/handy a 24" barrel, break action is, until you carry one. I'll bet it's same OAL as my 18" barrel 308 bolt gun.

I had a Sig P365 9mm follow me home today. Nice little pistol that fits a good niche. I was originally looking for a P365X, but they're pretty hard to find right now. I ended up with a P365, but bought a 12 rd mag, so the little pinky has a home. I might add a Holosite 507K after I carry it for a while.

Here's a pretty slick IWB "holster" that my buddy has been using. Ordered one myself. Works for appendix or 4-o'clock and is very minimalist.

I do like those P365s. Fills a nice spot between a pocket pistol and something you can actually shoot.

I agree. I used to carry a Sig P230 in .380 that was similar in size, but was truly a pistol that could shoot 15- 25 yards with surprising accuracy. I've been carrying a Keltec P3AT .380 which I trust to about 6 feet. Occasionally I pull out my pistol to dispatch a wounded pig or coyote and I wanted something a little more shootable then the Keltec.

I almost jumped up to the P365 XL or Macro, but in the end, I stayed with the smaller size, figuring it would be more versatile.

A gun I'm interested in following is the FN Reflex that will be coming out to compete with the P365. There were a couple of things that I really liked about the FN.

When you can't have a gun:

The attack was just one of many in Bijnor. In the past three months, seven people have died due to leopard attacks in the district. Five of these attacks took place in the span of just eight days, between 19 and 26 April - and increased fear and panic across villages in the district.
...
Locals now avoid working alone in the fields, and many have asked their children not to step out of their homes.

"We always carry sticks with us to defend ourselves," says Faiyaz, a resident.

Loading Barrett mags is very soothing  Anywho, went to the NRA convention and got to handle the FN Reflex. Thinking this will be my new CC when it comes out.
