TODAYS SEAT TIME

Honestly, mine was completely unnecessary and created solely for an excuse to drive the tractor. I was going to walk out in the field, but then realized, "Hey, I'm going to get it out anyway to hose it down, so I may as well just drive it out there."

Sound logic, in my mind.

I played with my walk behind leaf sucker that I bought for $30. Then I put the loader mounts back on my tractor and mounted the loader and backhoe.

Started a roughly 300ft ditching project on my road yesterday afternoon. I figure I got maybe 80ft of it done with my L3901 and the rear blade. The grass and sand was easily 4 inches higher than the road in spots from getting washed out further up whenever we get heavy rains. It'll take me a few days of picking away at it but when it's done my hope is that it permanently resolves one of the biggest areas for erosion on our road.

Sometimes you just gotta go for a tractor ride... Theres times I'd rather take the tractor than the 4wheeler to just check the fields. Different perspective, wildlife seems to be less likely to run away, and I get a better look at it.

Put my backhoe on yesterday for the first time in over a year in preparation to help a friend with a project this coming week. Went more smoothly than I had hoped! Used it to dig out a stump before I exchanged the ripper tooth for the bucket which has been on for 3 years.

I sharpened my junker mower blades. Then I put on my loader to take off my mower and hold it up while I changed to the junkers. Then I put the mower on and took the loader off.
I mow my hill ever fall for the neighborhood kids to go sledding. I thought I had a bearing going out on one blade, but I just didn't get it tight enough. After mowing for 45 minutes through grass that would choke any gas lawn tractor, I put the loader back on, took the mower off, carried it over to some prairie and cleaned it off, then swapped the blades back to my good Gators, put the mower on again, and took the loader back off.
A lot of monkey business for sledding when I don't even have kids at home anymore.

Used the Husqy and dump wagon this afternoon for some plant material removal. Took about 3 loads to the burn pile.

You're a good man!

My tractor was put to work today to load up my old field mower into the new owner's truck. It was nearly six years to the day that I'd bought that mower (used, but not very much); it actually landed on my property before my tractor did- funny, I've got new implements here waiting on my new tractor (history repeating itself)! Also spread out some fill material. I'd not want to be anywhere else than here, on the tractor, doing work, when the sun is shining (NOT raining!). Sigh, no pictures...

Only seat time I've gotten lately... Today I sat in the seat and looked over my right shoulder for a few seconds and climbed off... I was checking visibility thru the back brush screen I'm building.

Much more to do yet, 1" tube around the edges, bottom mounting brackets, side panels.
