TODAYS SEAT TIME

I am not the only one putting in seat time around here. I see this Barred Owl or it's mate quite often out in the woods but they usually don't give me time to get a picture. If I don't spook them they will sit in the same spot for hours. I never saw one in this particular spot before. The feed to the electric fence around my wife's veggie garden.

That's a fantastic photo, Gordon. I've never had the opportunity to catch
a photo of an owl yet. I'm green with envy!:D

This one was sitting on the porch waiting for something to eat the birdseed on the ground.

My grapple arrived at 4:30 today. By 5:30, I'd moved several tons of logs and branches. Amazing. How did I live without this thing?

Musdalen,

You own a nice looking setup. What is the load limit your tractor can pick up with your new grapple?

The loader will hoist 1600#, the grapple is a little under 400 # so that leaves 1200# in capacity. Last night, I went after a 10 or 12' half rotted ash log that I think was really close to that limit. It wanted to pick up but I didn't have any weight in the back, so the rear tires started to come up and I had to leave it for now. I have a ballast box that just needs to be filled with 1000# of concrete and then I'll be set to handle everything and anything I need here.

My tractor was feeling a little neglected and the potholes in the road were calling its name so I decided to let it off its leash to run for a while. There's just something about a freshly groomed road that makes me want to drive on it lol.
