TODAYS SEAT TIME

Took a few hours on my L3901 and bh77 today to dig out some fill from one area of my yard and fill in the hole with a bunch of big boulders that I had piled up. Using the fill that I dug out to cap off the boulders and extend my back yard.

My seat time was getting the "splitting done" on the load of wood I cut the other day, and I ended up with a NICE pile of splits!

The "seat" time, was driving the tractor/splitter up to the house after I was done with splitting.

I wish I had boulders like that! I sure wouldn't bury them. This is coming from someone that has as much rock as dirt but none bigger than cantaloupes.

Shut your mouth! You don't know what you're asking for.

This is what I'm doing in my "leisure time" just for a place for the dang things to go.

There is no shortage of boulders around my property and all my neighbors have the same problem. Some are literally bigger than cars. I hauled all these in from up at the end of our shared road with an f350 dump truck. Trying to widen the road and move a huge rock wall so I’ll probably end up with twice as many again before I’m done and that’s not even including the rest of the boulders I want to dig up and move on my property.

Tilled 10 acres to get ready for pasture seed. 96”cultipacker and 84” tiller I got last week from EA.
I made a bolt on hitch for the tiller and a simple hitch for the packer. They work beautifully together.
One more pass across and it will be level and ready for seed.

3L, looks good, can't imagine doing that in an open tractor. Must have been a bumpy ride that first pass.
When I did the same thing harrowing my neighbor farmer's field, helping him out when his tractor broke, he suggested I go "with the grain" the first pass and the opposite direction
or 45 degrees off the next. I hit a couple of "waves" out there that I thought would break something on the front axle but the tractor is much tougher than I am.
Is there a better way doing this? For those of you who do this for a living...

Slow enough the bumps aren't as much of an issue...
