Well thank you very much Greg.

Did some mowing with the sickle bar today. We let a lot of our road side and some rough open areas and small fields get brushy during the summer. I only mow them once a year. Some places less than that. Bushy areas make great wildlife habitat for many insects, birds, amphibians, and mammals and also adds some diversity to our largely wooded lot.

Very little seat time but I did get 10 yards of concrete poured for my shop apron , now I can finish the dirt work and let it set till spring.

I bush hogged a few hours today and yesterday. Here is one of many cases where R4 tires beat R1 tires. The wide r4 tires "float" over the mud. The narrow r1 tires sink. The old L2550 with r1 tires would have likely gotten stuck. The r4 tires hardly left a rut. If you do break the crust there is at least 42 inches of tractor swallowing mud.

Managed to get free enough today to get some brush hogging done. About 4-5 hours worth. Covered about 11 acres out of 50. Part was pond lot and a couple of field that had a lot of trees. One was pretty strap in places. So lots of slower work. Can't wait to get to the flatter bigger fields so I can cover ground. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks to my wife volunteering me, I bush hogged a small plot of weeds taller than the tires on the tractor, then disc'd it up

I hooked the dirt slip to the B7500, but it was too close to the tires. I had to use the 3930. And as good as it worked digging dirt in the hole, coming up the ramp with it was a whole 'nother thing. After a couple of close calls, where the tractor didn't want to climb out of the hole, I worked with my other digging device.
