Hello all, My big little tractor arrived yesterday, right now she's hanging out in the garage with the car until the barn gets built. We've got two acres to work with here in NC and I think she'll be up to the task.

Brand new tractor, but a big issue with the CX200 loader not wanting to raise up to full extent; I can get the bucket up to about even with the hood only. I can't see any obvious obstructions on the arms, but surely they tested it when they installed it on the tractor. So unless I'm really that pathetic with a loader...

Second problem, very minor is with one of the pins on the ROPS; can't get the right side in or out without help from the mallet, while the left side goes in and out easily.

Still love the thing thoughk, and can't wait to get the time to put it to work and tame this place. Thanks for the forum...

Hello & WELCOME to TBN!

I moved your thread to the John Deere Owning/Operating Forum. :)

It sounds like one of your quick disconnects on your hydraulics for the loader are not connected right. Shut your tractor off put the bucket on the ground. Release the pressure by moving the loader joystick back and forth and side to side. Then unhook and reinstall each hydraulic disconnect one at a time. Hope this helps.

I think UnclePaul gave you the correct answer for your first problem...
As far as the ROPS pin, might just be a little paint or rust in the ROPS brackets. Just polish the holes with a bit of abrasive paper. Not too much...you want the pins pretty snug.
BTW, my Deere is 10 years old and those pins still require a bit of persuasion to get them in and out. ROPS doesn't rattle, so I'm fine with that.

I think this may be a feature, not a bug. Mine does the same thing. I've been intending to ream the hole for a year but haven't gotten around to it.

Congrats on the new machine Lowgear! I'm over in the Zebulon area and just got my 2520 recently. My ROPS pin was really tight at first too but seems to have worked it's way loose after a few times removing and replacing it.

Welcome Lowgear.

My ROPS is the same way. It's just from welding distortion. Since I put a on a canopy and front posts to support my canopy, it's a non-issue anymore.

I agree that UnclePaul probably has it figured out. Sometimes those quick-connects can look like they are hooked up completely; but just be out a bit to prevent hydraulic fluid flow.

You guys give good advice and I tried reconnecting the hoses but it didn't work, it was still a simple fix not far from the one you suggested. You're gonna love this; the color coded label for the hoses mixed up the 1 and 3 hose, so they were hooked up in reverse, that's what prevented the loader from raising up more than a little. The dealer just had another with the same problem they figured out how to fix just before coming down to take care of mine. I'll try to attach a picture when I get the chance. Go figure...
Oh, and at the same time the mower deck decided not to lower completely, and that was an even simpler fix; the Rockshaft Control Lever has to be pushed all the way forward not to impede the mower deck, who knew?
