Tool Boxes

I needed a place to hold 25' of chain and assorted tools. This is what I came up with. Two 30 Cal. ammo boxes bolted to a steel plate that I welded to the base of the ROPS. I thought about putting them on my loader, but I don't always have my loader on the tractor. This way I always have the chain and tools.

Do you know any one who does upholstery? It looks like some padded tops for the boxes would be superb for those times when you need to look behind you while tractoring - good place to rest the arm or elbow. If the padding was done optimally, it might keep you from banging the funny bone (or the knee cap /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) too.

Funny you should say that. I have some JD Yellow, Marine grade vinyl that I was thinking of doing just that with. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Love that seat you have on your tractor - put one just like it on my Ford NH about 2 months ago and sure has helped my back. Got to admit, yellow looks a little funny on the Ford NH but it sure sits good

Neat installation. I wasn't able to mount mine there, no room to mount the tractor with a tool box. Instead I mounted a single 20mm box to the front bumper. It interferes with the steering on really sharp turns and may be replaced with a 50 cal box next time I'm in town. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I love that model tractor. Good job on the tool box. Does the 4115 not come with a toolbox? Or is this one just for chain etc.?
"welded to the ROPS" Was there any mention of this voiding your warranty? (the fact that you modified the ROPS)
