I followed an old post for adding a toolbox to my BX25. I ordered a 50 cal.ammo box from ebay for $12.On the back of the seat you'll find plastic plugs that are set up to receive bolts. The holes I used were 7"on center.I drilled some smaller holes towards the bottom of the box to add rubber bumpers. It's great for storing wrenches, shear pins and misc. stuff and it doesn't get in the way of anything or when turning the seat for using the backhoe. The paint job came out bad,but that's because I was in a hurry, but I'll take it off in the spring and do a nice paint job on it then.

this is my 1st year with the front blower and it works great. I've broken quite a few shear pins, but that's only because of what I was doing wrong.Breaking up bankings, etc. We've had our share of snow here in MA.so it's really getting a workout.

Great idea! Thanks for sharing... now I can keep all my pins, and respective wrenches together WITH my BX23.

I have a front blower up here in NH and I usually go through 5 to 7 shear pins a season. I've had this unit for 5 years and would NOT trade for cheap labor(neighbor's kids) or a plow. My FEL stays in the shed all winter and I haven't had the need to knock down any banks. I have to admit, I do cut into banks and lose a pin or two thanks to ice or stones but it does the job well.

I just won my bid on an ammo box on eBay and will set up my new 'toolbox' as soon as I get it.

Here is a option that I may do for my tractor. Tool Box We got the tall one in the link and a short one that they also sell for a project recently. They feel quite durable and even look a lot like an ammo box but they would probably not last as long as a real ammo box though.

I ordered mine on Amazon.com,but you can also get them at most Army-Navy stores. There's one in Lowell MA. that sells them for $15.I posted I bought it on ebay, but then realized I ordered it on Amazon because of cheaper shipping.

Looks good, Not alot of space available on these cuts to mount tool/ammo box, I put one on my right side floor outside the hydro pedals.

Thats exactly what I plan on doing with a steel ammo box and paint it blue. Perfect place.

Any idea on how much weight that can hold? I'm thinking pins, wrenches, ratchet set and maybe a chain. Any thoughts???

i LOVE ammo cans as tool boxes. very durable and water tight if you get one with a good seal.
