Kubota MX5100 w/Loader, Kubota B7500, John Deere F935
OK, so you might say I put the cart before the horse, so here is what I need advice on. I own a L3400, great tractor I used it for bush hog, and disk. I bought a new place (41 Acre) soil is more clay than sanding of my old place and the L3400 was starting to strain a bit with the bigger disc and tiller I bought for my new place. So my answer buy a bigger tractor (MX5100), should be delivered in a couple days.
Problem; I use to haul the L3400 to the old place to help out putting in food plots and cutting. I have a 16 FT 7000 Lb trailer. I am wondering if it is going to be big enough for the new rig. I usually hauled the tractor and an implement. I am excited about getting the new tractor, but after buying new implements, and then a new tractor to fit the implements, not sure if the wife is gonna wanna hear that I need a bigger trailer..

It will depend on how you have the MX5100 equiped. Tractor alone is 3,800 lbs. If you have the loader on and fill the rear tires you will come out between 6,000 - 6,500 pounds. Don't forget to add the weight of any 3 pt implements you might have on there. At first glance it seems the 7k trailer may be marginal. I would advise really doing your homework before hitting the road with it, and that should probably include weighing the loaded trailer to be sure your legal. Good luck and enjoy the MX5100!

The MX5100 is going to have loaded tires (R4), the dealer said he wouldn't sell a tractor with a front loader without loaded tires. The tractor weights in at 3774, the loader 1322, the loaded tires dealer said adds anohter 1000, my disk weights in at 900.. and I didn't consider length. Yep looks like I had better start looking for a trailer, and move my pillow into the living room. if I am lucky, may end up in the barn. Thanks for the advise guys, you may have save me from making a big mistake.
