OMG is this guy clueless. He expects the bull moose to be sensitive to his commands and rationalize with him. Check the eyes at 1:14 and add that to the ears down danger.

It's a fake charge but you never know, especially during the rut. Nothing beats baptism by fire.

I got about 100 feet from one at Glacier, Montana about a month ago and I would NEVER get close to one of them.

Quite a few tourist are seriously injured or killed, by moose, in AK each year. I wonder - would this idiot treat a brown bear in the same manner.

One year we had over three feet of standing snow. One young moose came over from Turnbul NWR. Boy-Oh-Boy was he ever pissed.

He jumped up/down - pawed at the snow - made hissing sounds - ears flat down against the side of his head. We all stayed in the house until he was LONG gone and left our yard.

Idiot. What does he think he is a Bull moose whisperer. Tax payer probably have to pay for his hospital stay if he survives.

Did you KNOW?????

At one time, many years ago, MOOSE were considered as possible "WAR MOUNTS" ! There was considerable efforts made to "reign them in", but the moose was just too intractable to be relied on.
Imagine a Moose charging down on you in the moments after you had fired your musket.

A horse will plunge to it's death under the prodding of it's rider.
A mule will NOT!

What a jerk wad. I get moose in my back yard, and even my dogs are smart enough not to get close to them.

First years we were in this place, an adult bull made it's way through our side yard. After it left, I went out to inspect the tracks in the snow. It was a full six feet between tracks. A moose places a front and rear foot in the same spot while walking. The track indicated that when the bull encountered trees to tight to pass it's rack, it jogged over in perfect 90 degree movements, and then returned on it's original path. I can't say if this is common, just what the track showed.

I've got some other "moose tails" but they involve motor vehicles and carnage I would rather not remember.
