That water looks deep and cold, is that for hydro-electric?

It's a natural water but there are tunnels leading water in to it from several power stations out to an power station 7km down the road.

In the summer the power station that are getting water from it is closed and the water goes in the river, in winter there are still water in the river but at a minimum, this is a salmon river so keeping fish alive is a priority.

The largest one produces 2508 GWh a year and there are many smaller ones inside the mountains.
