We test before and random. Some low level employers around, tell us that as much as 80 percent of their tests come back positive. We also have help wanted signs everywhere. And a lot are more than low wage. Mostly, I think people are lazy.
Kids in high school in summer, don't want to work. The last ones wanted $15 an hour, cash, no taxes, me providing breaks, drinks, paid lunch with me providing the food. During heat I try to stop at least for 10 minutes out of the hour to cool out and have a drink. They come to work late, leave early. Take 3 breaks an hour. Don't even show up for 2 or 3 days, and then show up wondering why they don't still have a job. To many mommy's and daddy's giving the little kids too much. Kids 4 years old with cell phones, 16 year old driving a more than my first house cost me. That is the reason McDonald's wants to have computers taking orders. Someday, tractors will have to be driven by computer, because everyone will be too lazy to drive it.
