When the zombie apocalypse happens, see how that goes... as far as I know, zombies only take cash. ;)

They also take brains. Actually, I think they prefer those to cash.

Surely you have days when you wonder, "What will happen to relative prices and wages following the zombie apocalypse"? Then you come to same old realization -- "I need the advice of an economist. An economist would be able to answer my question."

There are apps. I just do a bluetooth scan. New skimmers are installed inside the pump, you wont see it. That is why pumps now have security tape, although ive seen tape that doesnt stick.

If the skimmer uses Bluetooth, you turn your Bluetooth on, on your phone. then do a device search. May have to do pair, then device search depending on the phone. It will show all active Bluetooth devices around you. If there is a skimmer, it should be some weird numbers or similar. Vehicles should show up with an identifier followed by a string of numbers. For example my GMC shows up as GMxxxxxx. My ford service truck shows up as Syncxxxxxx. Phones show up as either make followed by numbers, or model and numbers

Thank you both, that's valuable info! I'm going to scan every pump I use a CC on!

"Cash is King"????
I think not!
I have one credit card that gives me back 5% on gas, groceries, and drug store items, up to $400 cash back each year..
Another is 3% back at building supply stores, hardware, office supply stores, and restaurants.
The 3rd one I have is 2% back on every charge.

I charge EVERYTHING I CAN, and play the cards accordingly.
I get at least $1000 total back every year.
Cash would be a waste for me.
I charge EVERYTHING on those cards.
I pay the balance off on each card every month.

I do not spend much time worrying about scammers.
That is a job for the credit card companies, since they cover any losses.

I don’t always pay the price on the tag with cash. Small business are almost always willing to negotiate and a lot of gas stations advertise a lower cash price.

I think I've had the same $20 in my wallet for 6 months. I just don't use cash hardly ever. The only time I use cash is when I want to buy my wife a surprise gift..... she watches our credit card daily!
