Two years have passed so quickly. I had sold my BX1860 and bought the B2320 for just a couple simple reasons, really. I just needed the ground clearance and really wanted to get away from the whole trans fan issue on the BX.

I loved my BX, I truly did. I didn't need way more tractor, just one a bit taller. I didn't need more power, although I got more power. I didn't crave a 3 speed transmission, but that's what comes with the B. I didn't need some huge increase in FEL lifting power, but there was a reasonable up bump in it's capacity.

I used to think about the day that is surely coming when I didn't "need" the clearance anymore and envisioned perhaps going back to the more compact BX. I don't know. I suspect that one day Kubota may produce something along the lines of Deere's 1000 series and when and if they do? Perhaps I'd be tempted, one day. But for now? Nah.

Just thought perhaps it be nice to hear from someone a couple years down the line who has zero buyer remorse. Not a speck. It's a very nice machine and has earned a place of appreciation. It's a keeper.

I agree. Your posts on the B2320 was a big reason I looked hard at this particular tractor and ultimately bought one. I've had mine for 15 months and have 225 hours with no problems. I wonder if I should have gotten the R4 tires instead of bar turfs although no problems with them.

Time absolutely flies when your having fun. Can't believe it's been 2 years, WOW!!!
You, sort of, also talked me into a B2320. I hadn't given it much thought till you got yours and did a thorough evaluation of it in actual service and the side by side report.
Wish you had spent more time with me regarding the HST VS Geared but alas, you didn't.:D Course you could say I'd had enough experience that I should have known or if I hadn't been trying to save a dollar ($1000) I'd have done the right thing to start with.:) OK. I've learned my lesson.........no geared tractors for me, never, ever again.
I've finally landed with a B2620 FEL BH and somewhat for the same reasons of no plastic fan, bit higher ground clearance and 3 speed transmission. Geared B2320 gone and since it was geared, good riddance also BX25 gone and not convinced that I'm glad it's gone.........in fact still pining over it's departure. Loved that BX25.:tractor:
Can't say much, yet, about the B2620 with only under one hour of use on it. Guess your sort of responsible for me choosing it since you got me over into the smaller Bs.:cool2:

JT, I know you were disappointed in the gear model, but saving the HST money didn't work for you on that. Not having a loader either on it made it a bit odd too. We live. We learn. You are going to like your new machine.

The 20 series B is a small tractor. Really. But the capability is step up from the BX and we both love BX tractors, and there's no doubt about that. Kubota could easily "merge" the top of the BX line with the bottom of the B line and make a whole new machine, as Deere did with it's 1000 series and Mahindra says it did with its MAX. We'll see what Kubota does.

Meanwhile my little Kubota continues to do its job, each and every time I ask it to work. It is extremely versatile, compact, smooth and darn handy. That it is as reliable and trouble free as can be? Not too shabby. Isn't that why we have these compact tractors?

I bought my first Kubota to be my last riding mower to ever have to buy. I had about 3 acres of hillside, gullied, rocky and some woods. (Later added 2 more acres) I needed 4 wd and added the high priced wheelbarrow to the front since I planned on some landscaping and maintaining and maybe carrying trashcan down to the street (a steep fair distance) and since it was the only one I'd buy before I died I spent a little extra. Bought a BX2200 MMM FEL.
I suspect most people buy a BX for the same reasons or similiar reasons. My neighbor did and my retired Marine Nephew down the street did. Both have BXs, maybe they bought Kubotas because I did.:)
Well, after a year of home building, landscaping and of course mowing I decided this life time Kubota 4wd mower was a very versatile working machine but...........it was to close to the ground for my property and it was pretty strong and I decided to go up one step in size and went to a B7800.
BP I suspect that is what alot of us small landowners do. Course I suspect most do their mowing and small tasks around the house and the BX is perfect for that but us tractor guys that want to expand our "work" maybe go on up in size after discovering tractors can be sold or traded just like cars or trucks and another one can be bought. Just like you and I discovered. Maybe I got to "deep" into that mentality.:D
But alas, once again I've finally got the right combination for my current needs.:D Course one needs to always be aware when needs change and take appropriate action to meet those needs with the most appropriate machine.:D

BP, have you given any thought to converting your rear blade to power angle? I did that with mine, it makes snow clearing a bit easier. Mind you, the L series I have is a bit more of a climb every time I had to get on and off to re-position the blade, but even for summer grading work I like the ability to move the blade from the seat. I don't think adding a rear remote is a lot of trouble with the B series.

How's the traction, BP? Did you fill the tires? Working in snow would tell the need as well as mowing sideways on moderate slopes. Being a BX to B convert I haven't decided. Maybe just having a set of chains for snow/sleet could be all one needs. With the FEL and RB ballast the BX got along fine in the snow. Mowing was stable also. I opted for the MMM vs the rear mower, so maybe my COG is good enough without filling the tires.

Your red potatoes look good. With the early spring, mine went in/out a month early and were fantastic, especially with that potato plow. These old knees can't fork that many potatoes any more. Sitting higher with the B was the answer. Teaching grandkids and passing on the heritage is rewarding. Thanks for posting your experiences.

Haven't heard from you bp in awhile so went hunting for you. See your still around and found this post and it's still relevant. Will find your other great BX/B comparison thread and bump it.
