Utility Vehicle Bed Lift Capacity, Just curious.

I had no doubt that a hydraulic machine would offer superior lift. Do the RTVs use a scissor type setup?

I am more curious about people with the electric/hydraulic units.

My RTV 900 uses a single hydraulic cylinder similar to a commercial dump truck. The only time I have had it not dump was when I had it rounded up with rocks and one was wedged under the lip of a SS bracket dust guard that is attached to the roll bars (personal modification). I unloaded a few rocks and then tried it again and it just crushed the trapped rock, so yes it unloads about all that you can load on it with engine idling.

The newer mules use an electric over hydraulic cylinder setup. I've been thinking about adding one soon, I believe they're rated for full bed capacity which is over 1k if memory serves.

RTV-1100 have fully filled bed with heaped pea gravel and dumped every time with no problems.

I have an '06 RTV900. If it will fit in the bed the hydraulics will dump it. Rocks, concrete, wood, dirt, hay rolls, limestone, whatever.

The RTV-X900 has a capacity of 1,100 lbs. Not sure what it actually can carry and dump, but I can say that my experience has been great. Always was able to handle the load I've placed in it and dumping is a breeze.
