Valdosta, GA?

Anyone here in the Valdosta, GA area? Wife thought she was going to Shreveport, but oh the fickle mind of the Air Force! Now headed to Valdosta. Looking to make some contacts in that area that could shed some light on renting a small place for mules, possible jobs etc. If you are, would appreciate you contacting me.

Shreveport? I could have helped out with that one, but not Valdosta. In all our travels, I don't think I've ever even been through there.

I'm sure someone will jump in shortly. They do have internet service there, right?

Bigfoot,
We were excited to be going to Shreveport ourselves (I'm from down by Baton Rouge) and thought we'd be able to spend more time with my father, unfortunately, he just passed away on the 9th. So when we got back, my wife get's the call from her boss that her assignment has been changed. Go figure! It's closer to our place in SC which is good, but now I have to start looking for work in another place.

Sorry to hear about your dad. It's been 21 years, and I still miss mine.

I dont live in valdosta but I do travel there for work, sometimes weekly some times just once a month or so. What kind of work are you looking for ? there seems to be a fair amount of industry for a small town. Smallish airport, military base, logging, pulp mill, card board plant,Wild adventurs theme park, ect. there seems to be alot of nice farms and ranches on the out skirts, depending on how far you want to commute, near by towns include, Thomasville Ga, madison Fl. or Lake City Fl is straight down I75.

Hey Fireman,
I've mostly worked supporting DoD contracts doing either Knowledge Management, Intelligence, program mangement etc type of work. Of course, since I'm following the wife as she finishes her military career, I'm open to anything that needs someone with leadership, management skills. Travel wise, we're talking as far as a couple of hours away. I'm in the process of updating my LinkedIn data. One of the things we'd love to find is someone with a place to rent in the area that has land for mules. Nothing fancy, just well maintained so we can have our mules to ride.

LoL, a man after my own heart! I was actually going to contact you later to see if you had a couple this summer - after we got settled. I had to get rid of my last two when we moved up to DC area for her current assignment.

Love the white one, looks like my old one - Comanche - out of an Appaloosa. Wife wants one that looks like a Paint! Let me know if you ever find one of those.

That Mule is 14 this year and a go anywhere mule ... I gave him to the grandson and he lets his sister ride when she comes for a visit (he lives with us)

I sure will let you know of any painted mules. BTW my son is USCG and his name is Keith ... should be able to remember your name!!!!!
