Hello,

I am thinking of selling my 2008 4320. It has about 100hrs. on it. It would include a 400x loader, Frontier 72" snowblower, Frontier 72" BB, and Frontier 72" rear finish mower. It has nothing wrong with it. I just need other things right now. Was wondering what a fair price to ask for it?

Thanks
Dave

Look on www.tractorhouse.com No it won't be an exact figure but you will get the best idea from them. They also offer one free listing if you want to list it on there:thumbsup:

You're selling a pretty new tractor and your main competition will be new tractors with warranties and better financing.
Odds are you'll take a pretty good loss, unfortunately.

So, I'd take 20% off your purchase price as a starting point.
As an alternative, you could ask your dealer to sell it on consignment. That way, he may be able to use Deere financing for a potential buyer...and, of course, many more potential buyers to look at the machine.

Good luck in selling it...

Roy hit the nail on the head. I just bought a 4720 at a price way under anything on TractorHouse. And guess what- I would not have bought it at any other price. But the buyer was motivated to sell and at his price, I was motivated to buy. No tire kicking!

So I say there are motivated buyers out there if the price is right. My problem now is its a two way street. And my 3320 that I bought new -at 0 percent Deere financing-is facing the same pressure. I think its worth 16 or 17 thou. but someone can buy a new one at 0 percent. Unless they have cash, even though they might not be able to afford a 22,000 investment, they will finance it rather than saving 5,000 by buying a used "cream puff".

Case in point, I bought a JD 410E with 1800 hours on it from one of the rental comnpanies for my company. It was 35,000. extenda-hoe, 4Wd etc. At the same time, a young contractor friend bought a new Cat 420 for over 85,000. Would he have rather have had a 410 with 1800 hours for 35,000?
YES. Big difference is a bank would not finance him for 35,000 while Cat would gladly move an 85,000 machine for his signature on a note.

Thanks eveyone for your responses. I really hate to sell, but things are not looking good right now.

I can appreciate that...just realize you are going to take a pretty substantial loss..

I see several 4320's on Tractor House that are offered in the $29,000. range (with loader). These are non-cab models.

I would price the other implements separately......or you end up giving them away with the tractor.....IMO. Or, at least make two prices: one with the tractor / loader and one for the "package".

It's a popular model / brand....and you sure have low use....so you should find buyers that want to save over new. Can you offer the factory warranty? Good luck!

Hmmmmm......sounds like the financial companies are busy making a "tractor bubble".:laughing:

It is amazing what folks will do for a low payment.....irregardless of the long-term consequences. Folks just get sucked in (to easy credit)....and we all end up suffering as a result. :(
