Waiting for my BX25D

I layed down some cash and "ordered" a BX25 D on the 30th of May.
My dealer said it should be in within 2 weeks. Last week he got a little short on the 14th when I asked where it was.

Needless to say... no shiny new BX25 D in my yard yet and tomorrow is 3 weeks.
What is a typical backlog time for delivery? One guy said there were 6 units (BX25d) in Groveport (Columbus) OH.

I know I'll have it a long time, but sure would like to be putting it to use this summer more.

Is your dealer a low volume outfit? Seems like every dealer around here has several to over a dozen in stock at any time. I'm surprised he had to order the entire tractor. Certain options like the quick attach bucket option and factory thumb might need to be ordered, but not the basic machine in most cases. In any case, I hope for your sake it comes in soon. Also, your dealer should be more sensitive to you be anxious to have your new machine delivered - that's just human nature.

I did order the thumb, and the quick attach...attachment.
However he didn't have the tractor, and made it sound like it could easily be delivered in two weeks.
It's a big dealership, Kubota Of West Michigan near Grand Rapids Michigan. right off 100th ave south.
Not sure what the problem is. If the tractor was delivered to the dealership, I would think out of common courtesy he would let me know, even if they were waiting on the other parts.
I'll probably call again tomorrow.

It can take a few weeks from the distribution center thru no fault of the dealer, if he ordered it correctly and when he said he did. He can also get one from another dealer like the next day but I believe he'd be out the shipping charge sooooo he doesn't really want to do that if his money/profit is totally more important to him than your satisfaction.
If he doesn't care about you and your satisfaction now, it's pretty unlikely he'll care about you in the future and that's one of the reasons so many people order their tractors from Barlows along with Barlows usually lower price by hundreds and some times thousands of dollars and some times quicker delivery even being several states away.

I feel for your anxiousness. I just bought a new one and the dealer had them in stock and delivered it in two days. My problem was having to wait two weeks due to an extended business trip! But that gave me a lot of time to read the manual cover to cover and read a bunch of threads here on TBN. Nothing wrong with bugging your dealer... he should be working for you! Don't know if you have other options but hopefully the dealer will be responsive and helpful and in the long term!

Update from the dealer.

I got a hold of my salesman by phone today. So the story was that on the 31st there were 6 new BX25D's in Ohio. However none were allocated to come north to MI. It sounds like the dealer was sending many "nastygrams" to the the distribution hub, and wanting to get this order filled. I guess after many back and forth emails, it sounds like one will be coming in early next week on a truck.
The one that's en-route is coming right from Georgia, so I should be able to smell the paint when it arrives.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Boys 12 and 14 couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces.

Still waiting on the 60" mowing deck, and the "thumb" Probably next week.
