How much would a 1610d engine go for?

What part of Texas are you from? I live in the Gilmer area. I read back over some of your posts and know the engine was siezed and you had the head off at one time. Have you concluded it is not repairable? If repairable, likely to be much cheaper then a replacement.

After a little research I thinking the 1610 (3t75u) doesn't have sleeves. Is that correct?

Forget the WD40. Pull the injectors if you can get them out and pour in Kroil, or a 50/50 mix of ATF & acetone or MEK. Looks like you've had the head off once as per the last post (above) if so you should know how to do it again. If you can get the head off, it would be better. Either one of the above will cut through the rust if that's what the problem is. If in fact, it has a hydro lock due to water in a cylinder, removing the head or the injectors will relieve that. I wouldn't want to live without Kroil!!!

A replacement engine would probably equal the cost of a replacement tractor. Those cylinders are a mess. Pistons need to be knocked out, cylinders honed, and probably oversized pistons installed.
