Modern Era. Post hole digger. Back in the day I never even wanted to be close to a Dearborn mower Attachment!

Last time I looked, after 17 years of running this machine, my head was still intact.
All it takes in ONE time and you have a flat head or worse. Like your picture of the boom pole with the weight box on the end. One dip or hole and she's going over and your 17 years comes to an abrupt end.

My garden tiller.
We don't know what is buried under our feet. Mechanically disturbing 6" of soil could get expensive.
For that reason, I quit tilling for hire.
My tiller has shear pines and friction clutch.

They look more scary then they are but I almost put it in my list ... I still use one, I definitely tie up the dogs when I am using it.

What brand/model is it? I've never seen one like that.
off hand I don't know but I thought they all did have slip clutch and shear pins or at least one or the other. The shear pins are on the tines shaft and the friction clutch is at the end of the PTO shaft... I will have to look at the brand and can come back to you in a week or so if it is still visible. But ya I have caught everything you can think of like tractor tire chains, shafts, rimes and stumps and never broke anything.

I guess not obvious from that picture, but I don't run around with my weight box on the boom pole. I had just built the boom pole and was trying it out and doing a photo op.

I just thought that was kind of an interesting way to show the weight box. Did not expect it to start a controversy....

he his being dramatic... I think form now on every picture I take with my tractor I am taking my ROP down.

It's easier to use the magic eraser in most photo editing software to remove any ROPS from the picture.

With my M's folding the ROPS is NOT an option as the cab unit has it's ROPS built into the cab frame and my open station has a canopy attached to the ROPS so they are always 'deployed' and yes I wear a lap belt in the cab unit. The open station has no seatbelt. Never did.
