What did you do with your Power Trac today?

I agree; for a 40’ mast. This TV antenna was only about 7’ high. I said, “My word Dad, what were you thinking when you over built this?” It turned out to be a White Elephant as well.

Your Dad and my Dad must have been consulting with each other. I don't know how many time i said to my Dad, 'what were you thinking?' 🙂

Sorry, but i missed picking the stump up with the fork to haul away. My wife wanted a 5 needle pine removed. It had gotten larger than anticipated.

Kool. You have a grease fitting on the upper link at attachment plate, did you install that?

I never thought about that before with the grease fitting bolts. Can the bolts on our front end loader just be swapped out with these grease fitting bolts?

Now, don't i feel stupid. Grease fitting bolt, sigh, mine are home made. The three on the quick attach plate have grease fittings. Right angle on the bottom ones. I figured they were in the dirt more. I don't see why you couldn't swap with "grease fitting bolt".

I see no problem with changing the pin/bolts, or just drilling out the factory one and then cross drill it. But the question is, why? The PT engineering says just the spray lube is sufficient and nobody here has worn them out (that I know of). The spray keeps the tractor much cleaner.
Interesting that with the 1460, PT went to all grease fittings on the loader lube points. I surmise that there was too much load for the spray lube.

One of the things I noticed on the two grease fittings where the cylinder curls the bucket is that when I put the grease in it’s red and when it comes out the ends it’s black. To me it seems like an area where there’s a lot of wear and requires much-needed grease.

I noticed that too. I use green John Deere and it comes out black. And that pivot Z is not repairable.

With the color change thought, I am going to wonder if I put enough grease in? It makes a big mess as it works out and gets all over the hoses.

I just starting building a table top splitter using what looks like the same splitter only with a different name. It must move pretty quick powered by the PT as the specs are much higher then farm tractors.
