I had a 92 convertible (Stolen), 93 Classic & 95 Dresser.
92 & 93 Were miserable the fist few hundred miles. Hard to even get them up 45 / 50 miles an hour.
At 500 miles the 92 was tuned & warmed up, with cam, ignition, carb, & exhaust. It would run with most anything, had about 30,000 on it when stolen.
93 Got a real warm up, big valve heads, big bore carb, tried a couple different cams, & 3 or 4 exhaust systems. IT would hang with the big dogs even riding 2 up. A friend owns it & folks still ask what it has in it.
A slight handicap in a short drag, due weight. It really came on at higher RPM'S & would out run the big boys most of the time.
Dresser was just mildly warmed, wanted better fuel mileage. It would run 95 / 100 2 up all day long.
If you want just a little more performance, burn low lead AV gas or boat gas. Adds enough that you can feel the difference in 2 /3 miles. They love lead.
Had 1 break down with the dresser, key switch went out.
Maybe a 100,000 miles no other problems. & no oil leaks. A little hard on rear tires.
