Having recently returned from a several month absence from TBN, I have noticed that Thomas is absent. His profile indicates he has not posted since 4/17. Does anyone know anything? I hope he's just enjoying that Maxwell House he always had brewing.

I had been wondering that myself, Glenn. Somebody else had started a thread a month or so ago too asking about him - no response. I hope everything is OK with him - I miss his weather reports.

Glenn,

I have e-mailed and telephoned him, last time about 1 month ago. {Left a message on his answering machine to call me back collect or to sign in TBN to let everyone know he's ok... but no response... /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif}

I don't know Thomas other than his posts here and became somewhat concerned after a zillion posts on a daily basis then nothing. It's almost like he's disappeared in thin air... I had found his address and home phone # with an internet search.

I always thought of Thomas as a kind of like the TBN door greeter... happy, chipper, smiley...

I pray everything is well with him...

John,

If you tried to contact him and he hasnt responded, that seems totally out of character for him. His posts were always prompt, frequent, optomistic and cheerful.

What town is he in? Maybe one of us is close. Or am I being too nosey.

There are a few posters that I wonder about. Wen and MarkC as well as Thomas. To name a few. I was wondering about you as well Glenn then you resurfaced./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Gordon,

You're right about the others.

You know, when I was away part of it was because of some negative stuff in my personal life, which began to make me negative on things in general, including tractoring. When you sent me an email and I noticed a thread asking about me, that cheered me up and helped change my attitude. I mean we discuss a lot of things here, and even occasionally get emotional or testy, but there is a sort of family feeling after a while. Well, I hope everyone's ok.

"Resurfaced," indeed! You think I didnt notice that. Well, as the submariners say, it takes one to know one.

Glenmac,

We have been concerned over Thomas for the past 6 months or so. He made a somewhat cryptic and brief post a while back that he had gone through some kind of "ordeal" that involved being in the hospital, as I recall, and getting some kind of electrical shock. So he may have run into some health problems.

I hope Thomas is able to read our messages and knows that we all miss his presence here, and for sure wish him the very best of everything.

DFB and others,

Thanks for reproducing that post of Thomas's. I read it several times. My interpretation is that he had his heart restarted with the defibrillator paddle machine. That would explain his comment about black and blue on his chest, a shock, his hair curled, the comment about not needing the needle to the heart, and the comment about not having a heart. Then he says he was at the hospital for two days, needing a TBN fix, and then he reponds to the thread presumably from home, trying to be cheerful. Then he disappears. I don't feel good.

Well Glenn for once I agree with you, went and read the post and that does sound like he was having a hard time of it. But he posted from home after that so I thought all was well. But is it.

Hey Guys,

I would never post anyone's personal info, but this is being done as a last resort. If anyone lives in the immediate area of Thomas' home, please stop by...
Thank you.

For all those concerned,

Thomas also made it known that he worked for Dartmouth College in Hanover NH. Their web site can provide information on how to reach him there.

I sincerely hope that nothing bad has happened to Thomas, and that some form of contact can be reestablished with him.

Just as a note, I removed the posted address for Thomas, since I don't think posting such personal information is appropriate on forums in general, even in situations like this. Many people view these forums... not just the few people that posted to this thread. If you want to exchange that information, please e-mail it off the forum.

I too am curious and concerned about Thomas, and e-mailed him probably a month ago after he hadn't been posting for a while, and got no response.

Muhammad,

I sincerely apologize for that...

I didn't intend to hurt anyone... only help.

Thomas many times in his posts mentioned that he lived in Lebanon, New Hampshire. His address and phone number are publicly available. Both I and Gordon called over the weekend and only got an anwering machine. I believe your judgment on this issue is incorrect, Muhammad, and I hope Pete got the correct address before it was deleted.

John, pls email me the address you have. Maybe I'll contact the authorities in Lebanon if Pete is unable to make it.

Got it before it was snipped. I've also contacted my local chief of police, who contacted the chief in Lebanon, who has the county authorities checking on him.

Tamara and I are planning on driving down there tomorrow. I'm taking a laptop just in case I find him in a hospital or nursing home. At least that way he can logon and personally let the group know what's up.

Fingers crossed in Vermont, Pete
