^^^ Researching some this AM. BH stored outside and I have access to some larger pallets at work. I think I can make one work with some added wood blocks from what I've seen others do. I see the BXpanded is $199 which isn't bad, not listed to fit the Massey but might. DANG. Another project!

The "problem" with BH stands, are they are really only suitable for paved or concrete smooth "ground" ...

I just drop mine on the gravel "floor" of my barn ... Usually set a couple of 4X or 6X under the center ...

Yeah mine is in the edge of the woods with a conglomeration of wood blocks.

Looks like now I have the dreaded leaking loader valve 😠😡😤

Sounds like mine. Right at the edge of my yard. If I don’t block it up right it moves quite a bit come spring. I must have done it right this year, because it looks like I could back right up to it and hook it up. Last year it kind of bled down and slumped. Made it a challenge getting it straight.

I made some 24" extensions for my BH hydraulic hoses, so I can drop it all the way to the ground. I tilt the bucket so it won't fill with water, and put a small 2x4 block in the boom arm so it won't collapse over time -- that keeps the footrests tilted (to the left in the pic) so they don't trap water.

I just use a piece of plywood on the ground under it, raise the stabilizers all the way, then put an old shower curtain over the control panel. It's actually quite stable, just sitting on the ground like that.

When needed, with my extended hoses I just back up close to it, connect the hydraulics, then raise the BH so I can back up to it and mount it on the tractor. Excess hose lengths just tuck in to that "shelf" there below the control panel.

I got home this afternoon and took my BH off ... I had solid mounted the lines on the tractor side, and lengthened the bh side hoses ... The BH hose each get a cap, as the are all male, then stuck in the plastic bag, and then will be covered with the red rag, I don't like dust!

There is a plug in the middle tractor side female quick connect, and a short piece of hose returns the hydraulic fluid to the tractor, I had to add the piece of rubber hose to the top connector, as it gets hot enough that my elbow doesn't like it in the summer!

IMG_20260407_145546081.jpg

I just set it down in the barn, with a couple of 6X6's under it ...

IMG_20260407_145717740.jpg

Then I grabbed the forks and got the rototiller down and put that on the quick hitch, then greased it and the loader ... Then I pushed the piles of grass I had collected a week or two ago, and had dumped them on the garden area, I decided I'd rather do a compost pile instead ... Original plan was to spread them out, and rototill them in, like I did with the leaves last fall ...

IMG_20260407_153933563.jpg

Then put the rototiller to work!

IMG_20260407_155104097.jpg

I'm in the process of buying a third tractor, so I can leave the BH on more, and have the rototiller or land plane ready to go ... But Little Baby Fergie did a good job today!

IMG_20260407_155431607.jpg

It's interesting to see where the grass piles were piled ... Are still damp (darker soil) not wet by any means, but we got 1" of rain Friday night ...

Jacuzzi 180K btu on demand water heater (in 2012 Lowes sold rebranded Rinnai units under this name) died day before my cataract surgery. this happened 3-30-2026. could not do anything for days.was not allowed to work unit per surgeon. spend 180$ on parts (flame sensors. not it.dead pcb board) before deciding to just replace unit.
so last night I mounted a new Rinnai unit and today hauled the Jacuzzi unit down to scrap pile with gc2400.
along with that unit I tossed in brother color laser printer. toner clutch in printer (bought in 2016, presently has 38,168 pages printed) gave out. 120$ part. nobody sells them. could do a 2 hour clutch clean procedure every 500 pages or just order new printer.
so the GC2400 also tossed a 2016 brother 8850cdw into scrap pile.

I got home this morning and took the rototiller off, as we had 1.10" of rain on Friday, and the garden area was still to damp to rototill, maybe later this week if we don't get any more rain, swapped to the forks, and grabbed the land plane, and tipped it upside down, and dropped it in the garage, I then cut part of the "teeth" I had made, and bent them to hopefully disturb more weeds, then cut some holes in the cross bar that I had built to hold the teeth, stuffed some grade 8 - 3/8X3.5" bolts through and zapped them !

IMG_20260413_105531058.jpg

I don't want to dig in too deep and disturb the base, just loosen the top up good to kill the weeds ... Going out after lunch to try it out ...

IMG_20260413_110751696.jpg

I also tried out my new trailer mover, as I want to spin the trailer around and drop the ramps, and basically make a second floor to store my attachments on ...

Cheese Burgers were good! :p

IMG_20260413_130403616.jpg

IMG_20260413_130412415.jpg

The teeth and bolts dug in good, but were going to need several passes ...

Overall I killed a lot of weeds! 😂

IMG_20260413_134307500.jpg

Then I did the drive to the barn, which is just natural rock and dirt ...

IMG_20260413_145133311_HDR.jpg

Caught some bigger rocks that the bolts didn't like, snapped them clean off! Oh well, the rest of it still works!

IMG_20260413_145143857.jpg

Then I popped on the BH, and tried my other trailer mover on that ...

IMG_20260413_172702705_HDR.jpg

As I wanted to park it "backwards" in the barn, with the tail accessable ... Worked pretty good!

Since I can move the main boom side to side, getting it in pretty tight wasn't hard at all!

IMG_20260413_173544322.jpg

IMG_20260413_173558881.jpg

Then I wanted to put my brush hog up on the nose of it, as I only plan to use it once a year to clear out the creek banks ... Little Baby Fergie couldn't lift it with the forks, so I just stuck to SSQA pads under it, chained and strapped it on ...

IMG_20260413_181906046.jpg

First bump it fell off! Not sure if it's permanent or not, but the pads don't line up anymore, they both move but are out of time ...

So I took the mower off the Kubota, and put the forks on the back ... It was tricky getting up there, but it's put away now!

are those trailer jacks attached to both rear corners of trailer? been debating doing that on my 2 trailers sometime.

/ What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY #3,373
Yes, I added them, and they are rated for 7K Lbs each ... I don't trust the factory one up front with that weight on, so I blocked it up on both sides too!

I got the rest of the stuff loaded on the trailer, freed up a lot of space!

IMG_20260414_115509110.jpg

IMG_20260414_115521275.jpg

Started digging up where my garden will eventually go, as you can see it's quite rocky!

I had a plan for some of the spoils this morning for a different project, but the rest will be piled to get the sod to decompose, so I can screen it ...

IMG_20260414_084345144.jpg

IMG_20260414_084402731.jpg

When I was digging ditches for my driveway expansion, I decided to add a couple of additional culverts on the original part of the driveway, I'm not sure why I had the ditch leave the side of the driveway, then curve back to the culverts, but that's the way it is, and it's a pain to mow around!

So today I wanted to extend the culverts up the ditches aways with some corrugated piping ...

IMG_20260414_084528492.jpg

IMG_20260414_084538621.jpg

Since this was a natural low spot and use to collect water, and run across the driveway, I still wanted it to drain surface water, so I filled in the area with a bunch of rock, which will help it drain into the pipes ...

IMG_20260414_091842239.jpg

I didn't have as much of the 4" as I thought, used the 6" where I could ...

IMG_20260414_092353527.jpg

Now I should be able to get my Z-turn across it, and I can straddle what's left of the open ditch up along the driveway ...

IMG_20260414_100748220.jpg

Then I went to the other side of the driveway, and added a short section, So I don't have to go around the deep ditch ...

IMG_20260414_102514015.jpg

Then I went up to the next culvert, and added pipe and rocks ...

IMG_20260414_104112858.jpg

Good enough for now, they will all settle some in time ... While Little Baby Fergie can do a lot, I'm not good enough with the loader and BH to totally give up on a shovel and rake!

IMG_20260414_105723298.jpg

Then I went to pile up the spoils I dug out earlier, and clean up where they came from ...

IMG_20260414_111945259.jpg

While working this morning ... Little Baby Fergie hit the lucky magic number! 😁

I haul horse manure with my 14ft single axle trailer often, to unload I do not shovel. I drive the gc2400 into it and use bucket.
I put jack stands under rear of trailer to prevent tongue lift on truck end, but very little "fine tuning" can happen with jack stands and as the weight comes off of course the distance from rear x-member of trailer to stand increases.
been debating 2 top screw jacks (of course with a drop leg....) on rear of it, and if I do the 14ft trailer may as well do the 20ft dual axle trailer. I use stands under the 20ft so as to not damage someones property due to ramp slide (gate style ramps) when unloading tiller.

I have also unloaded by scooping off trailer, mine was bark mulch ...

I drove the back of my pickup onto ramps to raise the front of the trailer, then wind down the landing gear, then block the rear of trailer (before I added the rear landing gear) lessens the angle of ramps and makes it easier to get on and off, as tractor and loader change position as it climbs the ramp ... From a couple of years ago ...

IMG_20240314_110047996.jpg

On another thread we were discussing that the front axle wasn't vented ... So I bought stuff to add a vent to mine ...

IMG_20260415_140642865~3.jpg

$6.99 for the elbow, and I used less than 2' of hose, at $0.59 per foot, I had the two zip ties ... I also bought a set of NPT taps for $44, that I will use for other projects, could have bought the single 1/8" tap for $5.

I think it's supposed to have a vent, and probably could have just drilled it out, but by the time I realized it, it was too late! The top of my fill cap had a dimple, but I couldn't blow through it ... I could tell from the tiny crack in the side, that it was probably hollow inside, once I drilled through it, my drill pushed the bottom of the vent out, and I could see up in it ... It's rather thin plastic!

IMG_20260415_134718597~2.jpg

While a tiny hole up on top would vent, it wouldn't prevent water/rain from getting in, so I'm not rear sure of the purpose, as it seems from the inside there is a baffle of sorts ...

The tap set I bought from Home Depot part # 308067447 did not come with a set of wrenches, most of the taps have different sized square heads, so I just used a adjustable wrench, and used the closest drill I had ...

IMG_20260415_134750236~2.jpg

I put a slight chamfer on the inside of the 1/4" hose and slide it on, it will need to be slid off to add fluid, but that's about every 2 years, and "should" be out of the way to not get snagged ...

with the single axle 14ft I set my BW hitch height high so that angle not really an issue. then, since I only haul from 1 farm to 3 locations (including my place) with max haul 2 miles 1 way, I load it until axle pressed against frame (approx 6yds) so angle is even less.
no idea why that 14ft trailer has a bent axle, but as long as the brakes on it work I am good :)

Took the BH off and hooked up the sprayer ... I had just walked and trimmed about half a mile of fence line . . . Gets old!

So I mixed up 10 gallons of Imazapyr, and grabbed the wand, no more walking!
