Well, I've told many a person, "Hey - I may be cheap...but I'm cheap!" :)

BTW, 57A passed its annual and is all back together. Passed my written 3 months ago.....

57A the aircraft? since it passed its annual I assume we don't need a go fund me for any 4078* (SB340 A and B models) or 32248-001* (embraer 135/140/145) or some such batteries for you as the running joke goes?

Hope you get done, before you are too old to fly! 😜

Or a go fund me for the helicopter you surely need?
That would be awfully nice of you guys.

But, my wife is the main obstacle there.

Now, if any of you know a single lady with her own helicopter, that could be helpful.

I would chip in exactly 1$.
if you can talk 350K people to do the same I think we could make it work :)

Yes, 57A "Stubby"..."Flying Milkstool"...."Brick".... Did it right on that one, replaced the leaky POS L-A Gill G-25 with a Hawker-Odyssey J16 10 years ago. Still going strong.

And yes, Ray, that's my biggest worry now. Going BasicMed now, no more 3rd class for me. At this point, I'm just seeing how far I can get -- any dual time I get is a gift. She does an honest buck-and-a-quarter with her new engine; my CFI is a bit jealous, as N4557A is actually faster than his 172N! (y)

I logged a lot of time flying with students.

One older guy, who bought a C150, was having trouble getting landings down. He warned everyone he was a slow learner. They all still gave up on him.

After several one hour sessions, with no real progress, I tried a different tactic. I said, you are going to learning to land today, no matter how long it takes. After only 5 HOURS of continuous, touch and goes, it clicked, and he had it nailed down! 😅

To everyone's amazement, he soloed a few days later, and we became good friends.

He is an excellent pilot today.

Thanks for that bit of encouragement, Ray, I appreciate it. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, my GC2310 is doing her bit with the leaves & lawn and will again do snow blowing duty soon -- if we get any this year!

It's interesting how many tractor people are also pilot people. Your experience with your "older guy" with the 150 reminds me of some of the kids I got through algebra -- one in particular who just didn't get it until I instituted 1-1/2 to 2-hour+ sessions. Then, he got it, actually got a B on his final! This from a kid whose former teacher ("fired" by his parents) said he wasn't capable of learning algebra. (Don't get me started....)

Currently on my list is our short Sprinter RV, whose four coach batteries are now dead and I'm not sure if its second alternator (dedicated to coach batteries) is over-charging my 6-volt golf cart coach batteries. This seems to be a year for electric stuff!

Never a dull moment....

easiest way to weed an overgrown garden and stack for composting.

and I removed 6 or so 35ft long wire fencing used as trellis (so weeds intertwined) by turning bucket down and grabbing wire with hooks welded on bucket then dragged them away to let weeds die so I can straighten them and roll them for season storage.
