Tractor
BX1500
Added a filter shield and mid-PTO cover the the BX. Tractor was only a week old when I hit the trans filter installing the deck. Now to find a set of hub caps so I can't rip out another valve stem.

I sure wish I had your shield a couple of months ago when my MMM PTO came off and ruptured my hydro filter.

What type and gauge of metal did you use? I assume steel.
How did you make all of the bends in the shield?

You should forward that piece of "field engineering" to Kubota.

That seems to be a very, very good idea.

JWE
Used some scrap galvized steel I had around. Did all bending by hand with vice,c-clamps, and round pipe as a form. I read you post about MMM and filter accident. So I some time on Sunday and made this before that happen to me.

I was on the phone again today with Kubota trying to pin down some answers on the questions that I have about the BX that haven't been answered here or answered here and I needed further information about. This is a great site..... spend about 3 hours a night just learning..... not sure which will give out first....... my eyesight or my brain!

I had mentioned the "filter guard" to the service rep that I was speaking to and said that I would send him the picture. He said that if it wasn't designed by Kubota, that Japan, wouldn't even consider it..... Guess that the still have a problem with Yankee Ingenuity!!!!
