What is a Sticky.

I am assuming that someone has to pay to post a sticky.

Does the sticky have to be the first post in a forum?

I would rather see new post as the first post rather than a sticky that is just sitting there with very few response.

Can I just make up a post and pay to have it sticky #1 in a forum.

I guess sticky's are in order of time, first posted, first on top.

What is the time limit for a sticky?

How much does it cost.

Can anybody post a sticky, or is it a manufacturer thing?

The sticky in the Hydraulic forum is there asking people to suggest products to enhance sales.

So, can I make up a product and use the sticky to help sales?
