But you're right that these days you can't even trust NAPA and certainly not Rock Auto. I pretty much only use OEM parts.
Sad but true.
Should watch this video, you can feel the anger in Eric O's demeanor, South Main Auto. Guys a genius when it comes to vehicle electronics and most everything else auto related. He as well as three previous shops working on this car, have had problems with 'new' parts.

A tundra or even a Tacoma with crew cabs would have been the better choice. They definitely stand behind there products even replacing things on there own dime long out of warranty.in my experiences with them.
I wanted an extra cab Tacoma but in 2020 vehicles of any type were pretty scarce.
I finally drove 170 miles to look at a new Colorado they said they had...
When I got there it allegedly had been sold in the 3 hours since I had called.

Yeah I'd buy a used Toyota with more confidence over buying used domestic any day.

So funny story to me anyway got insurance and new plates for my winter beater seeing as how my 1/2 ton is out of commission
For an unknown amount of time for transmission repairs and my 3/4 ton is being bullet proofed and wired for a plow. What song comes on the radio when I started it for the first time in weeks on my old 4 cylinder 5 speed? Aerosmith "back in the saddle again" 😂 😂 😂

Not a peeve, but a question; when you are driving through an empty section of a parking lot do you stay between the lines (yellow line in picture) or cut across to where you want to go? (Red line) 20251112_191041.jpg
I've always stayed in the marked travel lanes but somebody once told me I was going to cause an accident that way.

I usually stay within the lines, both to avoid things like concrete parking stops and random sign posts, and because I know that one almost never collides with the car they see.

The vast majority of accidents are of the, "I never saw them coming" variety. Just because you don't see another car in the lot, doesn't mean one won't appear when you least expect it.

In an apparent dead parking lot I sometimes shoot across the yellow lines, but my eyes & ears are scanning 360° for trouble.

In a collision it could it be considered careless driving.

People who bury a 100 feet of coiled barbed wire, rope, cables and trash etc where someone might want to, one day, dig a hole or two. 🤬
A decade ago, I was planting grouping of 42 Norway Spruce, all dug and planted by hand. I was really admiring the fact that I'd hit not a single rock in digging for the first 40 trees, when I found the hole into which 250 years of prior homeowners must have been dumping all their found rocks, on tree hole number 41.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Rock Auto.
They give you anywhere from a couple brand choices up to twenty or so choices on a given part, including OEM on many. What you probably mean is , you don’t trust yourself, to pick the most reliable brand. That’s not their fault
