Ford3600

Hi All,
I have a Ford 3600 with no remote hydraulic lines. I am thinking about buying a three point log splitter instead of a gas engine log splitter (one less engine/gummed up carb to maintain). I think I would have to install a single spool hydraulic valve and lines to run the log splitter. Does anyone know what valve I should be getting for the Ford 3600? I can get a single spool kit for about $320 ( Hydraulic Remote Valve Kit Ford 600 700 800 2000 3000 4000 2610 2910 Tractor | eBay ) on eBay (Please let me know if there is a better deal out there). Since I don't have remote hydraulics I'm assuming that I need the OEM style valve that bolts on to the transmission. Is that correct? I think the eBay one does this. I can't find a double spool kit. Do I even need double spool for anything?
Also, I can't think of any other devices that I might get for my tractor but would it make sense to have more than one spool valve? Any other common implements need two or more? None of my current implements (box blade, bush hog, dirt scoop, boom pole) need any hydraulics other than the three point lift. I doubt I'll ever get a front end loader.
