- Kubota L3830GST, B7500HST, BX2660. Formerly: Case 480F LL, David Brown 880UE
We have a Kubota L3830GST (37 engine HP and 32 PTO HP per Tractordata)
We currently use a 5' cutter on it and while the tractor knows it is there in heavy stuff, it doesn't clear the tracks.
Looking at getting something bigger and am torn between 6', 7' and 8'
Main uses would be:
1. Keeping an overgrown hay field knocked down 2x/year
2. Finish mowing around the hayfields (to have a path all the way around)
2. Mowing our hay fields if we decide to mulch that cutting
3. Finish mowing the grassy "picnic" field out back
On occasion, we might push back some hedgerows, but not very often.
I am thinking that a 7' twin spindle (such as the SQ84T) would be ideal, but I haven't seen one on Craigslist yet.
Also thinking that a tri deck finish mower would be fun, but too big and not heavy enough to do the overgrown field mowing
I have thought of a flail, but I dont like them and they dont show up on the used market very often, so unless one fell into my lap, flails are out (no offense Leonz).
